Five steps in developing your financial plan

There are five key steps in developing your financial plan that are recognised across the industry:

    Identify your goals

First we identify your short and long term financial goals to build a foundation for your financial plan. These may include saving for your first house, going on an overseas holiday, funding your children's education, having enough money to live comfortably after retiring, or estate planning.

    Assess your situation

Once we know your goals we then determine your financial position, most importantly, your assets, liabilities, insurance coverage and investment or tax strategies.

    Prepare your plan

We put together a plan that recommends strategies, products and services that matches your situation and goals.

    Implement the plan

Once you have agreed to the plan we will help you to put it into action. The value of financial planning goes beyond simply managing your investments and expenditures it can help simplify your life and give you security.

    Review the plan

As your circumstances, lifestyle and financial goals change it is important to continually review your financial plan to make sure it is relevant and achieving your objectives.

You may also need to adapt to specific circumstances, such as starting a family, buying a house or managing an inheritance.

    Long-term security

Working with Scott Associates in developing your financial plan will give you long-term security and piece of mind.
